Djibril was born in 1988 in Dakar, Senegal. He lives and resides in Dakar.
This award-winning artist is a visual artist, filmmaker, curator and independent scholar in Senegal. Drama has featured in exhibitions and competitions around the world including Germany, Ghana, Togo, Ethiopia, Spain and Ivory Coast. Her work strives to shed light on socially relevant and mildly controversial issues affecting our world today. It reflects the many aspects of Africa's multifaceted history and countless interwoven cultures, providing an alternative African narrative. In recent years, Drame has also been heavily involved in film and has released two short films which have gone on to feature in festivals and art tours internationally.
